Online and Blended Pedagogies
Overview
The Centre for Learning and Teaching is involved in a number of eLearning initiatives designed to support online pedagogical teaching and assessment practices, instructional design, and integration of instructional tools and technologies with teaching practice.
eLearning is defined as 鈥渁n approach to teaching and learning鈥 based on the use of electronic media and devices as tools for improving access to training, communication, and interaction, and that facilitates the adoption of new ways of understanding and developing learning鈥 (Sangr脿, Vlachopoulos, & Cabrera, 2012, p. 152).

Services
Educational Developers at the CLT聽provide one-on-one and departmental consultations to support faculty and instructors in their course design and delivery. Specifically, the CLT:聽
- 颁辞苍蝉耻濒迟蝉听around online course design and development
- Advises聽on the effective and pedagogical use of instructional tools and technologies
- 翱蹿蹿别谤蝉听workshops on a variety of eLearning topics, including active learning, alternative assessments, team-based learning, accessibility, and more
- Supports and guides聽faculty with the creation of online course content and interactive learning strategies
